| Made in China under the supervision of Kenny Hill, the Madrid Model is inspired by the work of Jose Ramirez III who is considered the father of the modern era school of Madrid builders. Unlike the traditional Ramirez 1a which had a very wide neck and long scale, the Hill Madrid model has a very comfortable easy to play action. Made entirely of solid wood and expertly french polished, it is not only easy to play, but also very responsive. It has all the beautiful colors of the typical Ramirez cedar instrument with none of the knuckle-busting playing issues. Like all the Hill New World series, this instrument has the unique feature of an internal two way adjustable truss rod which allows very convenient adjustment of the neck relief without expensive re-fretting. Recommended by many leading teachers, these Hill instruments are vastly superior to the usual Valencian commercial produce offered today. SN 10216 |
